Obituary

Sally “Sara Rebecca” Wallach, 85, of Northbrook, IL and formerly of Skokie, IL passed away on December 2, 2017. Born in Lezajsk, Poland on November 8, 1932, she is survived by her husband of 63 years, Zygmunt “Ziggy” Wallach and her two children, Michael (Lori) and their children, Beth (Jake) Hoffberg and Dan Wallach, along with Cindy (Jim) Habel and their children, Jordan (Emily) and Sean Habel. Sally was the daughter of Mordechai and Chana Bass and the sister of Miriam Rozencwajg, who passed away on August 23, 2017. Sally, Miriam and Chana came to America in 1952 after surviving the atrocities of the Holocaust. She married Ziggy in 1954 – he, too, a Holocaust survivor. They settled in Brooklyn, NY until moving to Skokie, IL in 1973 and then Northbrook, IL in 2010. Chapel service will take place Monday, December 4th, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights followed by interment at Shalom Memorial Park. For information and to leave condolences (847) 255-3520 or www.shalommemorial.org.
